A passionate pastry chef who was born and raised in Illinois, Susan grew up watching her mother bake, inspiring her to start. That being the beginning of her journey, kept her baking for her family & friends.
With cakes being baked traditionally, Susan baked something special for every season – the blueberry pie baked with fresh, handpicked blueberries from the farms in Chicago, her favorite carrot cake that she believed was the perfect dessert for every occasion and the pecan pie made from Georgia’s finest pecans, infused with her secret family-inherited recipe.
SUSAN’S INSPIRATION
to introduce classic American desserts
Baking had always been her favorite past time stemming from her childhood. She would spend hours helping her mother, Rose craft delicious desserts. From the flaky apple pies to the creamy banana puddings, Susan, today, makes those cherished family recipes with her own grandchildren.
Upon moving to the UAE in the 1980s, she noticed that the UAE lacked authentic American baked products and was inspired and encouraged to sell her recipes, thereby wanting to introduce classic American desserts to Abu Dhabi.
